Items I have recently dropped in the toilet:

1. Bar of soap. While washing my hands, the slippery thing escaped and plop! ended up where no self-respecting soap bar goes of its own free will.

2. Box of dental floss. While doing my nightly duty of flossing (since I got yelled at by both my dentist and my husband) I lost my grip on this small box and managed to drop a nearly new box in the toilet. (Don't worry. I threw it away).

3. Mark's Retainer. Yup. You got it right...needless to say this did not go over well and almost resulted in the same fate for my retainer. But my vigilance in STILL wearing my retainer meant that it was by the bed and out of reach of my extremely gross-out husband. So what do we do in this situation? By extra strength denture cleaner, soak the retainer multiple times...AND for the record, Mark has not put it back in his mouth...although he may someday...
